Ingredients

  • 2 lbs. Farmer's Promise potatoes, peeled & cubed
  • 1 c. (approx.) milk
  • 2 tbsp. butter
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • Bacon, cooked & crumbled, for topping
  • Cheese Sauce, warmed through
  • Sour cream, for topping
  • Fresh chives, chopped

Instructions

  • Add diced potatoes to a medium or large pot and cover with cold water. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook potatoes until fork tender, about 15-20 minutes once boiling. Drain potatoes and return them to pot.
  • Add milk, butter, salt & pepper and mash to desired consistency. Adjust liquid and seasoning as needed.
  • In a shooter glass, layer mashed potatoes, bacon crumbles, more mashed potatoes and cheese sauce. Top with sour cream and chives.

Recipe Tips

You can use Red, Russet or Yellow potatoes!
If you have leftover mashed potatoes on hand, feel free to speed this up by warming them up and using them for these!
If you'd like a spicier version, go ahead and use a nacho cheese sauce.
